Day Trading vs Long Term Investing: Which Is Better
By Zoli Team
Day trading means opening and closing positions within the same day; long-term investing means holding for years. Day trading is more active and can generate more frequent trades and tax events; investing is more passive and often focuses on fundamentals and time in the market.
Neither is "better" for everyone. Day trading suits people who can dedicate time and handle stress; investing suits those who prefer a hands-off approach. You can also do both—e.g. invest most of your capital and trade a smaller portion with clear rules.
